No Limits Group to Distribute Richer Poorer for Canada

No Limits Group announced today that they will be the Canadian distributor for California accessories brand Richer Poorer Inc.
 
Richer Poorer, which was acquired by Vancouver-based company Shoes.com late last year and is best known for their socks, has expanded into both underwear and the basic tees category.

Brixton Announces New Business Model in Canada

In the ever-changing landscape of Canadian distribution, Brixton has just announced a new “direct” business model in partnership with Tiger Distribution.
The press release mentions that Brixton will open up a new Montreal based office to manage the Canadian territory - “The change will enable Brixton to be more competitive in the Canadian marketplace, and to build upon the current momentum of the brand.” 
It’s unclear who will be handling the product fulfillment and returns, but it is noted that Tiger Distribution will continue to manage sales and marketing efforts in Canada and keep the regional sales force intact.

Extreme Closes 8 Stores in BC & Alberta

Extreme has just posted on their Facebook page that they have closed 8 or their 14 location on December 31st, 2015.
The store closures are ”due to recent changes in the economy that we were unable to weather."

The post goes on to list the closed stores and list the ones that will remain open. Extreme has seen increased competition over the years in the surf, skate & snow market from retailers such as West 49, Zumiez and Journey's.
The post also mentions that the staff wasn’t given any notice of the closure. Hopefully everyone will land on their feet. Read the full post here or I have pasted it below.
